Confirmation

The sacrament of Confirmation gives us the gifts of the Holy Spirit to strengthen us in the faith and to help us live fully the Christian life united to Christ.

On the other hand, Confirmation, which is given by the bishop, fully incorporates us into the Church; it is a call to a more personal commitment and to a mission of witness to the faith.

Confirmation, like Baptism, leaves an indelible spiritual mark on the Christian’s soul, known as “character”, which is why this sacrament can only be received once in a lifetime.
